The role of ritual - old superstition or a power up for modern energetic work? 🔥💫🧙‍♀️

I had Wiccan books on my bookshelf in my late teens. I skipped school to hangout in metaphysical bookshops. I was drawn time and again to magic but i could never commit, i could never fully embrace it.

Those books described intricate involved rituals with extremely explicit instructions with caveats that without doing it precisely this way nothing would work
... and even back then that left me cold, my internal knowing told me that wasn’t my truth. I’ve probably always been a rebel to authority ;).

Decades later (and after numerous certifications in different energy modalities, and coaching therapy modalities) I found a different Wiccan tradition that like me proclaimed a truth in doing ritual in way that was personal and meaningful for me.
I returned to my ancient roots for a short while. But it still wasn't a total fit and at heart I go my own way ;) (which is how it probably needed to be for me to channel and create Shandara)

But what I have learnt over 3 decades in this area is that ritual does in fact have an amplification effect on our energetic work.

Two of the most important are:

1) It provides a container (energy amplifies radically inside a container)

2) If repeated it builds layers and layers of energetic remnants and deepens the groove or pathway in both your energetic system and in your mental psychology.

This gives more power to the work AND aligns you more quickly to the source of your power.

Ritual also critically brings Intention, Focus, Gratitude and a Devotion to something bigger than yourself.
♦️
Again all ways to amplify your energetic capacity in the moment and thus your results.

👉No your rituals don’t need to be copied exactly from some book written 100 years ago.

👉No they don’t need to be evolved and elaborate. But they do need to meaningful and personal to you.

👉They need to bring you present and fully focused in body and mind in that moment (even if your ritual last 10 seconds).

👉and they need to bring you to a place of your power and something beyond merely the technical (Key take away here :)).

Like all ancient wisdom, there is truth and power - and it’s gems can be modernised.
